Volunteer Opportunities

Our volunteers are a priceless resource in the running of the church. Actually, most churches are run by unpaid individuals who provide assistance in diverse areas of church administration. Actually, the percentage of non-paid help in any given church far outnumbers the staff. If you look closely, you'll spot volunteers helping with everything from church office operations to membership growth and development, to education and music ministry, to housekeeping, and to community outreach. Clearly, volunteers are vital to the church and the community.

BUS DRIVERS

Drive the church bus on Sunday mornings to pick up members for services who otherwise would not be able to get to worship. No special license is needed but a basic driving test is required for insurance. Coordinator, Earl Middelthon

BULLETIN CREW

Faithfully this group gathers in the conference room every Friday afternoon to assemble the bulletins for the two Sunday services.

CHANCEL CREW

This crew will prepare the chancel area for Sunday by picking up any items left behind from the previous service and fill the candles with oil. This team also changes the chancel colors from one season to the next.

GREETERS

Our greeters are the first people to have contact with those entering for worship; their responsibilities are welcoming and directing.

HANDY MEN

Or women! are always welcomed to help our Custodian with the endless list of needs in keeping the Trinity campus in pristine condition. Much time is also required to set up rooms for various activities.

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY (IT TEAM)

The purpose of this group is to enhance the Sunday services, Memorial services, and other programs with the use of microphones, DVD's, and projected slides. Additional time during the week is required to prepare the projection screen.

KITCHEN HELPERS

Our volunteers do anything in the kitchen, from making coffee to cleanup and dishwashing. There is always an endless need for cookies for the fellowship time on Sunday.

LIBRARIANS

Occasionally, someone with librarian skills and/or computer skills may be needed to assist the head librarian (also a volunteer).

LITURGIST

Our liturgists supports the pastor in our traditional service by offering prayer, leading the confession of sin and the assurance of pardon, and assisting in the collection of offering and serving communion.

OFFICE / RECEPTIONIST

Office support are often asked to fill in at the reception desk, make copies, proof read, help with mailings, assist with making phone calls and/or other various other office related duties.

Prayer Team / Warriors

Prayer is perhaps one of the most visible ways in which we can demonstrate our submission to and utter reliance upon God. As Paul reminds us in 1 Corinthians, we labor and plant but ultimately it is God who gives the growth. In light of this, we must bathe everything we do in fervent prayer.

PUBLICIST

Through the local media, the publicist informs the surrounding community of the worship, the activities, and the Ministries of Trinity Church.

TIDY UPPERS

Each week our Sanctuary is tidied up by special people who work behind the scene. Pencils are sharpened, worship register pads are replaced, Bibles and hymnals are straightened in the racks, and any papers that were left behind in the pews are removed.

USHERS

The ushers greet, hand out the worship bulletins, and help seat worshippers as they arrive. They also receive the morning offering during the service. After the service, they gather the worship registers from the friendship pads and pick up anything left in the pews.

WELCOME CENTER GREETERS

The Welcomers ask guest to fill out a brief form and direct them to the Sanctuary or the CLC.
