chuck_congregationThe Reverend Dr. Charles J. Wiggins, or

“Pastor Chuck” as he prefers to be known, as served as Trinity’s Pastor/Head of Staff at Trinity since 1996.  He lives in Englewood with Kathi, his best friend, who also is pastor of a Presbyterian Church (USA) congregation, Siesta Key Chapel, in Sarasota.

A native of suburban Philadelphia (GO Eagles!) he loves devouring on cheesesteaks and soft pretzels.   Among his hobbies he counts being a voracious reader of American history, rooting for the Phillies, Rays AND Eagles, and travel (especially getting away on cruises) with his wife Kathivbs_12_chuck

Chuck and Kathi are the parents of four grown children all of whom  live in Florida.  And the Wiggins’ have been blessed with nine—yes, count them NINE—grandchildren that add a lot of color  and activity to their lives.

Pastor Chuck was ordained by the Presbytery of Philadelphia on June 12, 1974.   He has served congregations in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Florida.   He holds graduate degrees from Princeton Theological Seminary, and received a doctorate from Drew University in 1992.

His favorite Scripture should not surprise you.  It comes from       1 Thessalonians 2:13.  “We thank God continually, because when you received the word of God, which you heard from us, you accepted it not merely as a human word, but as it actually is, the word of God, which is indeed at work in you who believe.
