Outreach

Purpose

The purpose of Outreach is to attract new members to Trinity church through personal contact and by providing a warm welcoming atmosphere within our church.

Responsibilities

  • Identifying new members and contacting them with a personal phone call or letter within 48 hours.
  • Reaching out to people in the surrounding area and beyond, making them aware of what Trinity is and what we have to offer.
  • Providing a welcome packet with current information to newcomers and guests.
  • Making a point to greet newcomers every week for 6 weeks.
  • Gathering information for the Church data base.
  • Preparing for new member classes and the following reception.
  • Answering questions regarding available ministry opportunities.

“A new command I give you: Love one another.  As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” – John 13:34-35


The “one another” passages in the NT lay the foundation for God’s provision and protection for His saints through the local church. The “one another” that is commanded more than any other is to “love one another”.

Inreach

Purpose

The purpose is to nurture new and current members through caring friendship, regular worship and fellowship events; and to encourage all members, affiliates, and friends to become actively involved in the life of Trinity Presbyterian Church.

Responsibilities

  • To oversee current and future groups /activities and ensure that all members have an on-going opportunity for spiritual growth, fellowship and creative service within the church.
  • To follow up with “inactive members”.
  • To prepare Name Tags
  • To provide opportunities for all members to become integrated into activities and fellowship at Trinity i.e.

      • First Friends Luncheons
      • Encourage ongoing First Friend relationships
      • Small Groups (Bible Study)
      • Singles Group
      • Dinner for Six
      • Two-fers
      • Men’s Groups
      • Women’s Circles
      • Sunday Coffee & Fellowship

The InReach team also works to make sure that no one gets left out, and that those on the fringes of the church are not forgotten.
