Mission Statement
Trinity Presbyterian Church exists to proclaim, live, and share the love of Jesus Christ in our community and throughout the world.
Our informal mission statement seen each Sunday in the bulletin is: "We strive to be Church-centered, Biblically based, and Spirit-led in all we do."
Why Presbyterian
While Presbyterians share the common Christian faith with believers of all denominations, what makes us unique is our form of government. The term "Presbyterian" comes from the New Testament word for elder: presbuteros. Our government is based on the biblical office of elder.
What We Believe
A good summary of what we believe is found in The Apostles Creed.
Among the particulars that Presbyterians - along with all Christians - believe would include the triune God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. In addition, we believe in the inspiration and absolute trustworthiness of Holy Scripture. Also, we believe in Jesus Christ: his true humanity and full deity, his virgin birth, sinless life, atoning death and bodily resurrection, ascension, and promised coming. Finally, we believe in salvation by grace through faith, the sacraments of Baptism, and the Lord's Supper.
